General terms and conditions for the accommodation contract – guesthouse "Unsere Stadtvilla", proprietor Frank Härer, St.-Luzen-Weg 2, 72379 Hechingen (hereinafter the "guesthouse").

1. Scope

These terms and conditions apply to contracts for the rental of rooms and holiday apartments for accommodation purposes as well as to all related services of the guesthouse.

2. Conclusion of contract

The contract is concluded upon the booking confirmation of the guesthouse – online via our booking system, by email or by telephone. For online bookings you will receive the confirmation immediately after completing the booking.

3. Services and rates

The rates displayed or agreed at the time of booking apply. All rates include statutory VAT. Self-service breakfast, Wi-Fi, mineral water and parking are included. The minimum stay is 2 nights in rooms and suites and 3 nights in the apartments.

4. Arrival and departure

Check-in: from 2:00 pm via self-check-in with a personal access code, available around the clock. Your access code is the 4-digit confirmation number from your booking email. Check-out: weekdays by 10:30 am, weekends and public holidays by 11:00 am. A later check-out is possible only by prior arrangement.

5. Payment

The invoice must be settled before departure at the latest. We accept cash, EC/Maestro, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Business customers may pay by bank transfer with a declaration of cost coverage; otherwise payment by bank transfer is possible by arrangement.

6. Cancellation and no-show

Cancellations are governed by the conditions of the selected rate as displayed during booking; these are shown transparently before completion of the booking and communicated with the booking confirmation. In the event of a no-show without timely cancellation, the guesthouse may charge the agreed price less saved expenses. We recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance.

7. House rules

Our house is non-smoking; smoking is permitted on the terrace. Smoking in the room incurs a special cleaning fee of €125. Pets are not permitted. For fire-safety reasons, open flames, candles and gas cookers are prohibited throughout the house. The room key also opens the front doors; in case of loss the guest is liable for replacement of the locking system (€820).

8. Liability

The guesthouse is liable for items brought in by guests in accordance with statutory provisions (§§ 701 ff. German Civil Code). Valuables may be stored in the in-room safe, which offers protection against casual theft. Use of the free parking spaces is at your own risk; the car park is not supervised. Guests are liable for damage caused by them in accordance with statutory regulations.

9. Final provisions

German law applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Notice pursuant to § 36 VSBG (German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act): the guesthouse is not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and does not participate in such proceedings.
